Taxidermy Drawing

Website

Join us for a relaxed Saturday afternoon of drawing and curiosity!

This pay-what-you-can social session invites you to explore a still life setup like no other —

filled with preserved natural wonders including taxidermy animals, skulls, feathers, sea creatures, dried flowers, and more.

This isn’t about technical perfection — it’s about slowing down, looking closely, and enjoying the act of drawing. Instructor Amanda Baker will offer gentle guidance in observational drawing, contour, gesture, and mark-making techniques to help you discover your own expressive style. Think of it as part art workshop, part cabinet of curiosities, part hangout.

Bring a friend, bring your sketchbook, and BYOB — we’ll have a few light snacks and good company to keep the creativity flowing. We'll have paper and pencils on hand for anyone that needs.

We’re asking for a $25 suggested donation, which helps cover the cost of the teaching artist, supplies, and the taxidermy animals traveling all the way from Brooklyn!

No one will be turned away for lack of funds — all curious creatives are welcome.
