Embrace your creativity with hand stitching and get a jump on your holiday season!
Sashiko is a Japanese embroidery and mending technique which uses a simple running stitch to create bold and geometric patterns on textiles. In this freestyle workshop, participants will transform fabric squares with Sashiko’s "small stabs".
Choose your own stitching journey! Whether you want to lay out and draw patterns from scratch or play with pattern and floral motif stencils, the stitched squares will be made into useful and unique home goods or accessories; pair of coasters, drawstring pouch, pin cushion, or sachet.
All skill levels welcome!
