Gelli Plate Printmaking Workshop

Website

In this one-day workshop (with an hour break for lunch), we'll explore the playful and expressive world of Gelli Plate printmaking—a vibrant, press-free method for creating one-of-a-kind monotype prints. You'll experiment with stencil design, layering techniques, color mixing, and textured materials to build a personal series of abstract or representational prints. Along the way, we'll look at how artists past and present have used monotype to create powerful visual language—and tap into your own creative instincts through hands-on exploration.

This workshop is designed for beginners, but it's also perfect if you enjoy collage or have always wanted to explore mixed media processes in your work.

What's Included All materials provided. A $20 materials fee is included. Limited to 8 participants to ensure plenty of individual support.

Who Can Attend Open to adults and teens 16+. One full scholarship is available—please contact the studio if cost is a barrier. We're committed to making space for everyone to create.

Lunch Break There will be an hour break for lunch. We have a fridge if you want to bring your own, or you can drive over to Main St. (5 minutes away).
