Cost: The course cost is $45.  Payment accepted in the form of cash or check.  Payment through credit card can be done using the following link: Pay here. Funds will go towards the cost of course material and recreational boating safety activities of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. General info and description:

Boat America is a boating certificate class that offers an in-depth and interesting boating safety course, and provides the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate.  Some insurance companies will also offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete this course.  Topics include: Introduction to Boating; Boating Law; Safety Equipment; Safe Operation and Navigation; Boating Emergencies; and Trailering; Sports and Boating.   This course also fulfills the following New York State requirement under Brianna’s Law which went into effect in 2025: All motorboat operators regardless of age will need a boating safety certificate.  Full attendance is required to obtain the official boater safety certificate.  Course is being taught by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
