Herbs for the Winter Blues

Website

Every winter, around January and February, many of us fall into the blues. Whether it's SAD (seasonal affective disorder), a lack of vitamin D, or just a mental and emotional low, we often feel depleted and unmotivated this time of year. Luckily, herbs offer simple and effective ways to support and energize our mental and emotional health.

In this beginner-friendly herbalism workshop in Beacon, NY, you'll learn natural ways herbs can support your emotional balance, mental clarity, and overall winter wellness. No herbal experience needed.

Taught by Alexandra Radoaca, an herbalist, wilderness guide, and sound practitioner. Alexandra focuses on building health through nourishment and working with accessible, abundant local plants. She believes herbalism is for everyone—all it takes is curiosity and a willingness to connect with the plants.

Alexandra is the founder of Mindful Wilderness, an organization dedicated to herbal education, and Vulgaris Herbs, a shop in Sugar Loaf, NY offering small-batch herbal remedies, botanical art, and workshops. She is also a New York State certified camping and hiking guide and a Wilderness First Responder.
